About the position

The Assistant Teacher position at LifeChange Learning Center involves providing care and education to children aged 2-3 years in a nurturing and safe environment. Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily care and instruction of children in the classroom.
• Provide quality care and education to children.
• Represent the learning center positively to parents and the community.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for children.
• Implement the curriculum planned by the Lead Teacher in an age-appropriate manner.
• Monitor staff/children ratios as required by state licensing guidelines.
• Establish an atmosphere of respect, safety, and concern for children and staff.
• Interact consistently with children during activities.
• Account for all children during activities and after transitions.
• Enforce safety rules and supervise children in various weather conditions.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid CPR certification or ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a classroom setting.
• Childcare experience of at least 1 year.
