About the position

The Goddard School in Swedesboro, NJ is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time Assistant Teacher for our preschool program. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 6 pm, with no nights or weekends required. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred but not required.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred but not required.
  • Ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty.
  • Ability to work productively without supervision.
  • Empathy and compassion for young children.
  • Dependability and adaptability, enjoying teamwork toward a common goal.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an outstanding ability to listen and follow up on issues constructively.
  • Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
