University Settlement is seeking dedicated individuals for various teaching support positions, including Assistant Teacher and Substitute Teacher roles. As an Assistant Teacher or Substitute Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission to provide high-quality education and care to children in our programs. You will work closely with lead teachers to implement curriculum, engage with children in meaningful activities, and create a nurturing environment that promotes learning and development. Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in implementing educational programs and activities.
• Support children's social and emotional development through positive interactions.
• Create a safe and engaging learning environment for children.
• Help with classroom management and organization.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and communicate with families about children's progress.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or related field preferred.
• Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in early childhood education programs.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
