About the position

The Assistant Teacher at The Learning Experience plays a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. This position is not just about education; it embodies the mission of making a positive impact on the lives of children and their families. Assistant Teachers work closely with lead teachers to implement the L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, ensuring that each child's developmental needs are met while promoting a love for learning.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with teachers to orchestrate a stimulating, welcoming space for children.
• Support teachers in implementing the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, adapting to the needs of Infants, Toddlers, and Preschool children.
• Prioritize a safe, nurturing environment for children.
• Regularly update parents on their child's progress and milestones through mobile apps and in-person discussions.
• Collaborate with center staff and leadership to drive retention, enrollment, and engagement goals.
• Cultivate warm relationships with families and colleagues.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required; ECE coursework preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience in childcare or a demonstrable passion for early childhood education preferred.
• Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role, including performance level, immunizations, employment physicals, and required health and safety training.
• Proven judgment to identify and address potential risks in a childcare setting.
• Ability to ensure children's everyday needs are met, including diapering, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
