About the position

The Assistant Teacher/Floater position at The Learning Experience involves creating a nurturing and engaging classroom environment for young children. The role focuses on implementing the proprietary L.E.A.P Curriculum® to foster a love for learning and exploration among children. The Assistant Teacher will also communicate with parents about their children's progress and collaborate with center staff to achieve enrollment and engagement goals.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, engaging classroom space for young children to learn, play and grow.
• Utilize the proprietary L.E.A.P Curriculum® to develop engaging lessons for Infants, Toddlers, and/or Preschool children.
• Communicate with parents daily about their children's adventures and achievements.
• Support the center's success by partnering with staff and leadership to achieve enrollment and engagement goals.
• Ensure the safety and security of each child.
• Build relationships with families and coworkers to create a dynamic learning environment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional teaching experience required.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
• Lesson planning experience required.
• Must meet state specific guidelines for the role.

Nice-to-haves

• College ECE coursework highly preferred.
• CPR and First Aid Certification preferred.
• At least 6 months of professional teaching experience preferred.
