The Assistant Teacher position at Kids 'R' Kids Houston Metro involves working with infants, toddlers, and afterschool programs. Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of each child in classrooms and playgrounds through consistent supervision.
• Teach and support assistant teachers in meeting the developmentally appropriate needs of children in the classroom.
• Provide a positive and nurturing environment for the children.
• Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and secure environment of the classroom.
• Help children with mealtime and clean up activities.
• Establish and maintain good communication with parents and coworkers.
• Participate in continuing education as required by childcare regulatory agency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior teaching experience as a teacher assistant (one or more years of experience working with children in a childcare center) preferred.
• Must meet all state teacher assistant requirements.
• Must enjoy working with infants and toddlers.
• Be punctual and in appropriate attire.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Proficiently read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
• Must maintain current certification in CPR/First Aid training.
