About the position
The Assistant Teaching Professor/Assistant Lecturer position at Miami University involves teaching undergraduate courses in the Department of Sports Leadership and Management, starting in August 2025. Responsibilities

Requirements
- Master's degree in Sport Media, Sport Communication, Communication Studies, Media Studies, Sports Management, or a closely related field required by date of appointment for Assistant Lecturer.
- Doctoral degree in Sport Media, Sport Communication, Communication Studies, Media Studies, Sports Management, or a closely related field required by date of appointment for Assistant Teaching Professor.
- Evidence of high-quality instruction and experience teaching sport communication and media courses at the college level is preferred.
- Managerial or executive-level professional experience or highly applied professional experience is preferred.
- Experience with technology and equipment used in the sport communication and media field is preferred.
- Experience with video and audio production is preferred.
