About the position

The Assistant Teaching Professor (non-tenure track) of Biology at Miami University focuses on Ecology and Community-Based Conservation. Responsibilities

  • Teach four courses per semester in ecology, environmental biology, conservation biology, community engagement in science, and evolutionary biology.
  • Advise undergraduate and Project Dragonfly graduate students on course planning and scheduling.
  • Participate in recruitment, curricular development, and course coordination for Project Dragonfly.
  • Serve on the Dragonfly Graduate Committee and other departmental and university committees.
  • Instruct summer online courses or Earth Expeditions field courses in various global locations.

Requirements

  • Doctorate/Professional degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in teaching biology courses at the undergraduate or graduate level.
