About the position

The Assistant Team Leader at Coastal States Bank is responsible for supervising Universal Bankers and ensuring exceptional customer service in a professional branch setting. This role involves assisting the Team Leader in achieving branch goals, overseeing daily operations, and providing leadership and training to the branch team. The position requires a strong commitment to customer service and community involvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver superior customer service to customers and prospects.
• Assist the Team Leader with oversight and leadership in the branch.
• Help reach profit, performance, and customer service goals.
• Oversee banking services to ensure excellence in customer service.
• Supervise Universal Bankers and manage daily operational functions in the absence of the Team Leader.
• Provide leadership and training to enhance overall team performance.
• Coordinate branch communications with the Team Leader.
• Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations with the Team Leader.
• Participate in community and civic activities to promote a positive public perception of the bank.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Team Leader.

Requirements

• Associates or bachelor's degree in a related field or 5 years of experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
• Three to five years' experience in bank operations with supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable in a wide range of PC-based retail banking software.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
• Exceptional customer service skills and goal-oriented mindset.
• High attention to detail and professional presence.
• Strong ethics and advanced technical skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with compliance training such as BSA and Information Security.
• Familiarity with banking policies and procedures related to BSA and customer due diligence.
