About the position
The Rostered Assistant Team Supervisor at CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) is a part-time role focused on supporting mobile public health initiatives in response to community needs, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. This position involves engaging with community members, managing health resources, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The role is flexible and requires readiness to assist on short notice, contributing to the organization's mission of providing health services to underserved populations in Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Support with mobile public health unit, including staff, site setup, operations, and breakdown
- Assist in managing equipment, supply and vaccine inventory
- Engage with community members and leaders to provide updated health education
- Link participants to additional community-based resources
- Distribute health supplies (e.g., Narcan, test kits, etc.)
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with program guidelines, policies, workflows, and reporting measures and structures
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of public health experience in a community setting
- Flexible availability
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Live within 25 miles of the local operational hub
- Access to reliable transportation
Nice-to-haves
- Demonstrated experience working with underserved/under-resourced communities
- Prior experience working on site at events with CORE in GA
