About the position

The Assistant Tech and Operations Analyst is a part-time role focused on coordinating technology setups for focus groups and playtests, assisting with office IT equipment management, and performing general office tasks. The position requires availability for afternoon and evening sessions, with occasional weekend work. The analyst will work closely with the Operations Manager/Technical Analyst to ensure smooth technical operations during gaming research sessions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the setup and takedown of streaming and playtest technology for in-house focus groups and playtests.
• Schedule and coordinate virtual meetings using Livestorm, Zoom, and other platforms.
• Oversee and troubleshoot streaming and playtest hardware during sessions, including managing OBS software and peripheral devices.
• Assist with participant check-ins, NDA and consent forms, and support group moderators during sessions.
• Handle building and facility requests, paperwork tasks, food orders, and other standard office duties.
• Track project progress, coordinate logistics, and ensure the right participants are in the right place at the right time.

Requirements

• Strong familiarity with consumer tech, especially Windows PCs and game consoles.
• Experience using OBS, Discord, and other recording/communication platforms.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Creative problem-solving skills for tech and streaming issues.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Dependable and able to follow directions clearly.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to speak and write in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong phone and customer service skills.
• Adherence to confidentiality and security protocols.

Nice-to-haves

• An interest in gaming, including knowledge of the major games, consoles, and publishers.
• Experience 0-2 years in a technology-related role and/or an office environment.
