About the position

The Assistant Tennis Coach at Euro School of Tennis is a part-time role focused on supporting clinics and after-school tennis programs for elementary school students in Grades K-3 across the Bay Area. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about tennis and enjoy working with children, assisting the lead coach in teaching and managing the tennis program.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of ages 5 - 10 in after-school tennis programs.
• Assist the lead coach in teaching and overall program management.
• Attend a two-day training/shadowing session to familiarize yourself with the program.
• Transport tennis equipment to and from class.
• Set up the tennis equipment.
• Take attendance and sign in and sign out students for each class.

Requirements

• Must be 19+ years old upon application.
• Enjoy working with kids and can manage a class in a professional manner.
• Flexible, reliable, punctual, professional, and has an enthusiastic approach.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Resilient, positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and within a small team.
• Have reliable transportation throughout the East and South Bay and Peninsula.
• Willingness to undergo a live scan background check prior to working.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous teaching or playing experience in tennis is preferred but not required.
• USPTA/PTR certification is preferred but not required.
