About the position

The Assistant to the Treasurer for Payroll and Benefits at Delphos City School District is responsible for managing payroll processes, administering employee benefits, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role supports the Treasurer in financial operations and contributes to the overall efficiency of the district's financial management.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for all district employees accurately and on time.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee hours, deductions, and benefits enrollment.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to payroll and benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding payroll and benefits administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
