About the position

The Assistant to the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Marketing (VPEMM) plays a crucial role in supporting the strategic initiatives of the enrollment management team at Empire State University. This position involves facilitating effective communication, conducting data analysis, and enhancing operational efficiency within the VPEMM Office. The assistant will work closely with senior administrators and partner agencies, ensuring alignment with the university's mission and strategic plans while managing various projects and administrative activities.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively interact with a wide variety of stakeholders, including executive level personnel and external stakeholders.
  • Drive problem de-escalation and resolution related to Enrollment Management and Marketing (OEMM) matters.
  • Ensure OEMM strategic planning and project initiatives align with the university's strategic plan and strategic enrollment management plan.
  • Assist in moving partnerships through development as needed.
  • Manage and direct a variety of projects, tracking the progress of the strategic enrollment management plan and providing status reports.
  • Identify and act upon opportunities for process improvement in the office of enrollment management and marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of eight years progressively responsible office management positions, including direct support of high-level administrators or executives.
  • A minimum of six years of experience directly supporting high-level administrators or executives.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently, establish priorities, and use discretion.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information to advance the missions of OEMM.
