About the position

The Assistant to the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Marketing (VPEMM) at Empire State University plays a crucial role in supporting the strategic initiatives of the enrollment management team. This position requires a seasoned administrative professional who can facilitate effective communication, perform data analysis, and enhance operational efficiency within a fast-paced environment. The assistant will work closely with the VPEMM to ensure alignment with the university's mission and strategic plans, while also managing various administrative and operational activities.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively interact with a wide variety of stakeholders, including executive level personnel and external stakeholders.
  • Drive problem de-escalation and resolution related to Office of Enrollment Management and Marketing (OEMM) matters.
  • Ensure OEMM strategic planning and project initiatives align with the university's strategic plan and strategic enrollment management plan.
  • Assist in moving partnerships through development as needed.
  • Manage and direct a variety of projects, tracking the progress of the strategic enrollment management plan and providing status reports.
  • Identify and act upon opportunities for process improvement in the office of enrollment management and marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of eight years progressively responsible office management positions, including direct support of high-level administrators or executives.
  • A minimum of six years of experience directly supporting high-level administrators or executives.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently, establish priorities and use discretion.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and apply it to advancing the missions of OEMM.
