Assistant - Trainee Photographer Graduation Events

About the position

GradImages is seeking Assistants/Trainee Photographers to work during graduation events in Tempe, AZ. This part-time, seasonal role involves photographing graduates and assisting with event logistics. Candidates will be trained to use professional photography equipment and are expected to maintain a professional appearance while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Working as a team assistant during graduation events and ceremonies.
• Assisting graduates with completing contact information cards.
• Helping graduates get ready and robed for portraits.
• Tracking graduate names or collecting cards during ceremonies.
• Setting up camera equipment prior to events according to specifications.
• Using company equipment (Nikon) to take quality portraits of graduates.
• Taking candid family and friends' photos when applicable.
• Collaborating with team captains and assistants to ensure smooth photography operations.

Requirements

• Must own a dark business suit and dress professionally.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from events.
• Must have a flexible schedule during busy graduation seasons (April-June, November-December).
• Dependable with strong time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Photography experience (not required but a plus).
