About the position

The Assistant Transportation Planner at EPD Solutions, Inc. will play a crucial role in supporting the Transportation department's daily operations and contributing to the company's overall success. This position involves preparing various transportation analyses and maintaining communication with stakeholders, ensuring that projects are completed effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Support the Transportation team in the preparation of traffic impact analyses
• Prepare trip generation analyses
• Prepare level of service analyses using Vistro, Synchro or other software as applicable
• Analyze projects to determine if Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) analysis is required
• Under supervision, prepare VMT analyses if needed
• Prepare parking demand studies
• Under supervision, prepare striping plans and truck turning evaluations
• Perform GIS analysis, queries, searches, and data manipulation
• Maintain geographic databases and review GIS data supplied by others
• Maintain consistent communications with internal and external stakeholders and clients
• Uphold EPD core values in everyday interactions with internal and external partners

Requirements

• 1-4 years of relevant work experience required
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred
• Experience with related systems including Synchro, PTV Vistro, Traffix, ESRI ArcGIS, and/or TransCAD preferred
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products and PowerPoint
• Strong interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills
