About the position
This position involves the respectful and dignified removal of deceased individuals from various locations such as hospitals, nursing homes, or residences to transport them to funeral homes. The role requires maintaining the removal vehicle and ensuring it is equipped with necessary supplies, including Personal Protective Equipment. Candidates must exhibit professionalism and compassion while working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform removals of deceased from hospitals, nursing homes, or residences to transport to funeral homes.
- Maintain and ensure the removal vehicle is clean and properly maintained.
- Handle human remains in a safe and dignified manner.
- Follow instructions given over the phone, text, or in person.
- Work effectively and communicate with others in a compassionate manner.
- Lift and maneuver heavy weights, including deceased individuals.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 200+ pounds.
- Valid class C Driver's License.
- Clean driving record.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to follow directions, policies, and procedures with little supervision.
- High level of physical fitness and mental fortitude.
Nice-to-haves
- Funeral Assistance License (company will provide if necessary).
Benefits
- Compensation ranges from $20/hour to $25/hour after training based on experience and knowledge.
