The Assistant Underwriter position at EmblemHealth involves supporting Senior Underwriters in managing both existing and new business accounts, particularly focusing on Broker Accounts. Providing technical and administrative support to the department is also a key responsibility, as is preparing initial incurred claim reports and benefit modifications in response to requests from groups, brokers, or consultants. Effective communication with Sales Representatives regarding underwriting needs is essential, as is the ability to perform related group underwriting duties as assigned by the Manager or other departmental management. The role may also involve other duties and projects as assigned, making it a dynamic position within the underwriting team.
