About the position

The Assistant Vice President, Assistant Corporate Secretary & Deputy Chief of Staff at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston plays a crucial role in supporting the Bank's Board of Directors and senior leadership. This position involves overseeing the Corporate Affairs Department, managing operations, and ensuring compliance with corporate governance. The role also includes responsibilities related to executive support, strategic planning, and people management, contributing to the Bank's mission of promoting sound economic growth and financial stability.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Administrative Officer of the Corporate Affairs Department, managing operations and strategic goals.
  • Assist the Corporate Secretary in maintaining official corporate records and preparing necessary documentation for the Board of Governors.
  • Interact regularly with Board members and prepare responses to information requests.
  • Manage the annual election/appointment process and support new director orientation.
  • Coordinate and attend Directors Receptions and the Annual Directors and Officers Holiday Reception.
  • Support Director succession planning by researching candidates for open positions.
  • Assist in developing presentations and reports, and facilitate briefings for the Bank's President and First Vice President.
  • Oversee strategic, people supervision, and administrative activities for the local Reserve Bank.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in people management/leadership.
  • Prior experience in the Federal Reserve System or similar financial institution is required.
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and generate innovative solutions.
  • Proven record of exceptional business judgment, flexibility, and integrity.
  • Exemplary people management and relationship-building skills.
