About the position

The Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMU) is a pivotal leadership role responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing and communication strategies that enhance the university's mission and visibility. This position involves overseeing a centralized team to implement integrated communications that promote RMU's initiatives at various levels, while collaborating closely with senior leadership to align marketing efforts with institutional priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic marketing, communications, and media relations activities for the University.
  • Oversee the creation of a dynamic admissions marketing strategy in collaboration with Enrollment Management.
  • Build relationships with University leaders to align marketing and communications with institutional priorities.
  • Provide strategic planning and development of annual goals and objectives.
  • Manage the execution of the University's brand and messaging strategy, ensuring consistency across all platforms.
  • Generate positive media coverage and serve as an official spokesperson for RMU.
  • Oversee enrollment marketing strategy and develop targeted marketing strategies for academic programs.
  • Cultivate partnerships within the community to enhance the university's name recognition.
  • Lead the university crisis communications response team and establish communication plans for crises.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
  • Ten years of related management experience in marketing and communications leadership roles.
  • Extensive experience managing cross-functional teams and overseeing marketing strategy.
  • Deep knowledge of running successful national, multi-platform media and marketing campaigns.
  • Exceptional writing and oral communication skills with high proficiency in editing.
