About the position

Alabama State University, Academic Affairs, invites applications to fill the position of Assistant Vice President of Online Education and Global Campus Operations. The Assistant Vice President will oversee all online programs, support the Provost's Office with targeted learning initiatives, and manage all Global Campus Initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a PhD, expertise in online education, digital communications skills, and a strong background in online instructional strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic planning, development, and management of all online programs.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality online education that aligns with the University's mission and academic standards.
• Collaborate with faculty and administrative staff to enhance and expand online course offerings.
• Assist the Provost in developing and implementing innovative learning initiatives across the University.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement in teaching and learning through the integration of technology and pedagogical best practices.
• Provide leadership in the adoption of new learning technologies and methodologies.

Requirements

• A PhD in a relevant field.
• Professional experience in online education, including program development, instructional design, and delivery.
• Proven expertise in digital communications.
• Strong understanding of current trends and technologies.
