About the position

The Assistant Vice President of Operations at Marist College plays a crucial role in advancing the strategic and operational initiatives under the guidance of the Executive Vice President (EVP). In addition to overseeing the implementation of strategic priorities, the AVP of Operations is responsible for directing college-wide event operations and supporting the operational effectiveness of the EVP. This includes engaging with various constituencies such as trustees, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community organizations to ensure that their needs are met and that the college's mission is upheld. The AVP also plays a vital role in resolving problems and complaints from students and parents, coordinating responses, identifying solutions, and determining the significance of issues that may require the EVP's attention. The position requires high-level administration within the Office of the Executive Vice President, ensuring that the office's priorities and mission are carried out in a professional and efficient manner. The AVP will also be tasked with other duties as assigned, which may vary based on the evolving needs of the college and the EVP's directives. This role is pivotal in fostering a collaborative environment that supports the college's goals and enhances its operational capabilities.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience.
