About the position

The Assistant Vice President, Software Implementation will support WSP's global Digital Solutions Team by leading technical project teams and developing software solutions for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) needs. This role involves interacting with clients, configuring software, and ensuring quality solutions that meet client requirements. The position may be based in various WSP offices or remotely for exceptional candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers to obtain technical details for configuration.
  • Interpret customer compliance requirements and develop technical specifications.
  • Provide feedback for improving existing business processes.
  • Configure software according to design specifications and verify configurations through testing.
  • Develop documentation for quantitative testing and design reports and dashboards.
  • Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) data between systems.
  • Demonstrate software functionality to customers in various settings.
  • Assist in developing integration specifications and testing.
  • Deliver training and technical documentation for customer use.
  • Analyze and interpret large, complex data sets.
  • Troubleshoot configuration issues during deployment and rollout activities.
  • Support customer account teams during post-deployment activities.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to junior personnel.
  • Manage internal and external relationships to ensure client delivery and company growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 10 years of relevant experience with information software platforms or in environmental compliance, sustainability, or risk management.
  • Well-developed analytical mindset and sound judgment in evaluating situations.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to articulate complex data simply.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills for technical knowledge application.
  • Attention to detail, results orientation, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and adherence to policies.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various schedules and prioritize responsibilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics background.
  • Certifications in Data Science, Information Management, Business Management, or Project Management.
  • Bilingual (English and another language).
  • Experience with software packages like Enablon, Intelex, Cority, etc.
