About the position

The Assistant Vice President, Software Implementation at WSP USA will play a crucial role in supporting the global Digital Solutions Team. This position involves working with a diverse range of internal and external clients to solve complex requirements, lead technical project teams, and develop software solutions for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) needs. The role includes identifying new opportunities, developing proposals, implementing software solutions, and representing WSP at external events, ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers to obtain technical details for configuration.
  • Interpret customer compliance requirements and develop technical specifications for configuration.
  • Engage with subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders professionally.
  • Provide feedback for improving existing business processes.
  • Configure software according to design specifications.
  • Verify configurations through thorough end-to-end system testing.
  • Develop documentation for quantitative testing and verification of results.
  • Design and develop reports and dashboards using software tools.
  • Create solutions for industry challenges to improve client processes.
  • Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) data between systems.
  • Demonstrate software configuration and functionality to customers.
  • Assist in developing integration specifications and testing.
  • Deliver training and technical documentation for customers and project teams.
  • Develop test scripts and support customers during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Analyze and interpret large, complex data sets.
  • Troubleshoot configuration issues during deployment.
  • Drive project timelines, deliverables, and communication.
  • Support customer account teams post-deployment.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to junior personnel.
  • Manage internal and external relationships for client delivery and company growth.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of WSP business and oversee project deliverables.
  • Develop a client base for high-level services.
  • Exercise ethical decision-making regarding company resources.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience with information software platforms or in environmental compliance, safety management, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical mindset with sound judgment in evaluating situations.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills for articulating complex data.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills for technical knowledge application.
  • Self-leadership with attention to detail and results orientation.
  • Ability to work independently and guide junior team members.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety policies.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various schedules and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Experience with large data sets and spreadsheets.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field.
  • Certifications in Data Science, Information Management, or Project Management.
  • Bilingual in English and another language.
  • Experience with software packages like Enablon, Intelex, Cority, etc.
