About the position

The Assistant Video Editor will be responsible for transforming raw footage into polished video products that meet client goals and brand identity. This part-time role involves collaboration with the creative team and Post Production Supervisor to develop engaging concepts and enhance production value through visual effects and sound editing.

Responsibilities

  • Edit raw footage into a compelling narrative that flows seamlessly
  • Collaborate with clients and creative team members to understand project goals and requirements
  • Incorporate visual effects, sound editing, and color correction to enhance the final product
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met, and quality standards are maintained
  • Revise video drafts based on client feedback
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and techniques to continually improve editing skills

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio of past work
  • Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, and/or Avid Media Composer
  • Knowledge of visual effects, sound editing, and color correction techniques
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
  • A keen eye for detail and aesthetics
  • Bachelor's degree in film studies, media production, or related field is preferred
