About the position

The Assistant Video Editor at Apple plays a crucial role in the Marcom Post Production Department, ensuring a structured and collaborative environment in the editing suite. This position involves working closely with editors from the initial ideation phase through to the final delivery of video content, contributing to high-quality creative outputs for Apple's marketing communications.

Responsibilities

• Setting up editorial projects to studio specifications
• Importing and managing media
• Syncing footage and logging dailies
• Creating selects reels and recording scratch VO
• Editing rough assemblies and organizing timelines
• Formatting and generating VFX, Color, and Audio prep with corresponding formats: EDL, XML, AAF, OMF, and QT picture reference with burn-ins
• Supervising client sessions by taking notes and updating databases
• Creating dub lists, exporting cuts, and posting to multiple destinations
• Performing basic compositing, tracking, and rotoscoping
• Ability and willingness to work unpredictable long hours, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
