In addition to the Emmy awards, the Television Academy produces several other awards shows and hosts a variety of events and activities for its members throughout the year, which are showcased across the Academy's digital platforms and in its award-winning Emmy magazine. The Television Academy Foundation, established in 1959 as the charitable arm of the Academy, is committed to preserving the legacy of television while educating and inspiring future generations. Through its renowned educational and outreach programs, such as The Interviews: An Oral History of Television Project, College Television Awards and Summit, Student Internship Program, and the Media Educators Conference, the Foundation aims to broaden the representation of voices in the industry and create more opportunities for television to reflect the diversity of society. The Assistant Video Editor position is a part-time, temporary role that requires applicants to reside in the Los Angeles Metro Area. The pay rate for this position is $38 per hour. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Video Production and will be responsible for managing the Academy's extensive library of video media. This role is crucial for ensuring the ongoing backup, organization, and logging of both raw and finished video assets, as well as maintaining a backlog of materials that spans over a decade. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess a passion for the television industry.
