About the position

The Assistant Visual Merchandising Manager is responsible for partnering with the Visual Merchandising Manager to design, plan and implement innovative and productive visual divisional strategies and programs, which achieve business objectives and enhance the Pebble Beach Company's brand identity. You will also provide visual merchandising support for the interior and window presentation within assigned stores as well as special event retail venues.

Responsibilities

  • Creation, development, and implementation of divisional seasonal concepts, promotional programs, displays, signage, and window presentations as determined by Visual Merchandising Manager.
  • Planning, drawing and execution of floorplans and planograms as determined by the Visual Merchandising Manager.
  • Collaborates in the development of visual programs for new stores and remodels.
  • Collaborates with the Visual Merchandising Manager, Buyers, and Store Operations to ensure the sell-through of product.
  • Training and supervision of subordinate visual team members with less experience.
  • Design large format graphics for special events and in-store visual collateral programs.
  • Design and implement in-store category, product, and promotional signage.
  • Design, production, and execution of window presentations and interior store merchandising presentations.
  • Responsible for maintaining clean and updated visual presentations of assigned stores daily.
  • Educating and training of store-line staff on established Pebble Beach merchandising techniques and standards.
  • Support the Visual Merchandising Manager in developing and maintaining comprehensive merchandising standards manuals for all store locations.
  • Collaborates with Visual Merchandising Manager in successful planning and implementation of in-store merchandising and visual merchandising initiatives.
  • Source visual elements, props, lighting, fixtures, and accessories.
  • Participation in all special event visual collateral design, sourcing, set-up, operation, and teardown.
  • Keep a clean and organized workshop.
  • Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested by Visual Merchandising Manager.
  • Manage departmental functions in the absence of Visual Merchandising Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years of Visual Merchandising experience with specialty retailer, apparel preferred.
  • Project management.
  • Supervisory ability.
  • Technical drawing skills.
  • Basic knowledge of studio tools, fabrications, and materials.
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent.
  • Valid California driver's license with less than 2 points.
  • High School Diploma required.

Nice-to-haves

  • College degree in Fashion Merchandising, Graphic Design, Fine Art, or related field preferred.
  • Able to use computer-aided design packages. Auto CAD and Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent preferred.
