About the position

The Assistant Warehouse Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing warehouse operations for a rapidly growing 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) company. This position requires a motivated individual who is willing to engage in hands-on tasks and contribute to the development of efficient warehouse processes. The role involves ensuring productivity targets are met while maintaining a smooth workflow in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Tracking inventory inbound and outbound.
• Reporting to the General Manager on workflows and employee productivity.
• Updating spreadsheets and WMS software/data entry.
• Advising on process improvements.
• Keeping track of supplies and replenishing them as needed.
• Organizing products and labeling new items.
• Training new employees.
• Addressing problems, obstacles, or challenges in the warehouse.
• Cleaning and organizing the warehouse as needed.
• Assisting with order fulfillment and processing during busy periods.
• Answering phone calls and emails.
• Staying late to accommodate new workflows and training on Warehouse Management Systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Warehouse experience.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Eagerness to learn and high attention to detail.
• Ability to create invoices.
• Willingness to work late some days.
• Experience in WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) or 3PL is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
