About the position

The Assistant Wrestling Coach at Mona Shores Middle School is responsible for supporting the head coach in training and developing student-athletes in the sport of wrestling. This seasonal position focuses on fostering a positive and competitive environment while ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in planning and conducting wrestling practices.
• Support the development of student-athletes' skills and techniques in wrestling.
• Help manage team logistics, including equipment and travel arrangements.
• Promote sportsmanship and teamwork among student-athletes.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration.

Requirements

• Experience in coaching wrestling at the middle school or high school level.
• Strong knowledge of wrestling techniques and strategies.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a wrestler or coach at a competitive level.
• First aid and CPR certification.
