About the position

The Assisted Living Care Partner role at Gables Senior Living involves providing exceptional and dignified care to residents in a supportive environment. The position emphasizes customer service and requires a commitment to understanding and meeting the unique needs of each resident. Care Partners will assist with daily living activities and ensure a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all residents.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional and dignified care with first-class customer service.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and oral care.
  • Familiarize yourself with residents' unique interests, hobbies, history, and personal preferences.
  • Promptly respond to resident requests and maintain compliance with departmental record-keeping requirements.
  • Report any needed repairs of community-owned property to the appropriate personnel.
  • Intervene in situations involving unsafe or inadequate care and report immediately to the Director of Wellness.
  • Promptly answer emergency call systems, telephones, and paging systems.
  • Participate in all scheduled team member meetings and ongoing education and training.
  • Use effective verbal and non-verbal communication to present information positively.
  • Observe and report changes in resident physical and emotional conditions.
  • Apply non-sterile bandages/dressings and provide basic emergency care as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Positive and energetic attitude with clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sufficient computer skills to print documents and enter information into resident records.
  • Professional appearance and conduct with mature interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide quality care to residents and be criminally cleared.
  • Good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
  • Health screening performed by a physician within specified time frames.
  • Dependable transportation and ability to work varying hours as needed.
