About the position

The Associate Athletic Director for Compliance at Eastern Washington University is responsible for overseeing the Athletic Compliance program within the athletic department. This role involves educating and monitoring compliance with NCAA and conference rules, managing recruiting and financial aid processes, and ensuring academic eligibility for student-athletes. The position also includes leadership responsibilities in student-athlete support services and supervision of full-time staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, implement, facilitate, and oversee the Athletic Compliance program.
• Educate Athletic Department personnel, student-athletes, support staff, and the public on NCAA and conference rules and regulations.
• Monitor all phases of recruiting, financial aid, academic eligibility, and other compliance areas.
• Investigate and report NCAA violations to the NCAA and Big Sky Conference.
• Administer certification of student-athlete academic records for compliance with NCAA standards.
• Compile reports for NCAA, Federal Government, Big Sky Conference, and institutions.
• Act as a liaison to various campus entities regarding NCAA compliance matters.
• Supervise full-time staff members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience in NCAA compliance or a related area.
• Strong understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
