The Associate Administrative Assistant in Payroll Operations at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) plays a crucial role in supporting payroll functions and administrative tasks within the organization. This position involves addressing payroll inquiries, ensuring accuracy in timekeeping, processing payroll reports, and providing administrative support to various operational units. The role is essential for maintaining efficient payroll operations and contributing to the overall mission of SRNS in managing nuclear materials safely and effectively.

  • Answer and address Payroll Operations calls to resolve problems.
  • Review Time and Accounting Collection System (TACS) entries for accuracy against pay procedures.
  • Respond to Legal Requests for information.
  • Process timekeeping reports to evaluate any pay changes necessary.
  • Conduct peer reviews during payroll processing related to payroll entries.
  • Transmit payment information to the bank and cash management team.
  • Perform additional payroll duties as requested by management.
  • Provide a variety of administrative and staff support services to an organizational unit.
  • Assist in the preparation and control of records, statistics, and reports regarding operations, budget, personnel, etc.
  • Administer programs, projects, and/or processes specific to the operating unit served.
  • Serve as administrative liaison with others regarding administrative issues related to purchasing, personnel, facilities, and operations.
  • Gather information, prepare special reports and presentations, maintain records, and project future trends.
  • Provide input and assistance on organizational and company policies and administrative procedures.
  • Coordinate activities in support of safety, health, financial, and overall operations of the Site.
  • Analyze unit operating practices to create new systems and revise established procedures.
  • Review and answer correspondence.
  • Compile, store, and retrieve management data using computer systems.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent State Credential.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in business, payroll, accounting, or related area preferred.
  • Strong personal computer skills.
  • Considerable proficiency in the use of automated accounting and payroll systems (Peoplesoft HRMS).
  • Payroll processing experience.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Accounting and Payroll systems.
