About the position

The Associate Director for the Network Supply Chain team at Verizon is responsible for the operational management and strategic oversight of the Radio Access Network (RAN) Assembly, Wire and Test (AWAT), and Pre-stage Programs. This role involves leading a team of supply chain and network professionals, fostering relationships across various departments, and driving initiatives that enhance build quality and efficiency. The position emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement to ensure successful program execution and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the operational aspects of Verizon's RAN Assembly, Wire and Test (AWAT) and Pre-stage Programs.
  • Lead and mentor a team of supply chain and network professionals.
  • Build and foster relationships with various organizations within Verizon and third-party partners.
  • Set clear team goals for short-term and long-term initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies in working capital and expense savings.
  • Drive business transformation initiatives and innovative solutions to reduce costs.
  • Oversee multiple projects, ensuring deadlines are met and resources are allocated effectively.
  • Continuously review and improve processes related to assembly, testing, and software loading of hardware.
  • Analyze industry trends and best practices to drive change and standardization.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot complex process-related issues.
  • Drive end-to-end quality throughout the AWAT and Far Edge Process, maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Solicit feedback from Verizon Network teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and regulations.
  • Track and report on Key Performance Indicators related to program performance.

Requirements

  • Eight or more years of relevant experience in technical operations, vendor or account management roles.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Strong analytical skills and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with experience in influencing others.

  • A Master's degree.
  • Strong team leadership skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma Experience.
