About the position

Ansell is looking for an Associate Director, Marketing Communications to join our team! In this position you will play a vital role in shaping and executing Ansell's global communications strategy to reinforce its leadership in safety and sustainability by leading a team to develop a comprehensive content strategy across digital platforms, driving key sustainability messaging, overseeing major reports, and ensuring strong employee engagement through strategic communication.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Corporate Positioning Strategies: Lead strategies to enhance Ansell's reputation, align with the 'Safer Future' vision, and support business growth with consistent global messaging.
  • Collaborate on Sustainability Messaging: Partner with CEO, COSCO, CHRO, CPMO, and cross-functional leaders to develop sustainability messaging, oversee the Sustainability and Labor Rights Reports, and establish review processes for claims supporting the Ansell Earth initiative.
  • Manage Ansell.com Content: Drive homepage and 'About Us' content strategy, oversee the content calendar, and ensure consistent updates with the Design Studio and Digital Marketing teams.
  • Strengthen Social Media Presence: Ensure cohesive Ansell positioning across social platforms, support regional marketing goals, and build engagement to generate leads and revenue.
  • Coordinate Global Communications: Guide cross-functional alignment with investor relations, regional marketing, and HR for unified messaging and crisis response.
  • Manage Advertising & Promotions Budget: Oversee spend, track ROI, and align A&P investments with corporate goals.
  • Set & Track Communications KPIs: Leverage the Global Marketing Dashboard to establish KPIs, report quarterly insights to ELT, and evaluate progress.
  • Mentor & Build Team Effectiveness: Foster skill development, collaboration, and a positive team culture.
  • Evaluate Communication Trends & Tools: Analyze industry trends and digital tools, recommending new practices and technologies to improve efficiencies and growth.
  • Lead Internal Communications: Oversee employee engagement strategies, intranet updates, all-company communications, and town hall preparation while coaching senior leaders on messaging.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or commensurate experience.
  • 15 years of experience in strategic communications or corporate communications
  • 10 years' experience managing teams; additional background in marketing communications, market research and/or branding a plus.
  • Experience overseeing development of content calendars, web site content strategy and social media campaigns.
  • Experience managing in-house communications teams and external PR agencies.
