About the position

The Associate Financial Systems Analyst at Exelon plays a crucial role in providing functional support and configuration services for finance-related processes, specifically focusing on Fixed Asset, Lease, Treasury, and Cash Accounting systems. This position involves collaboration with IT and application vendors to ensure the effective operation of financial systems, while also facilitating business process improvements and maintaining compliance with internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Power Plant application support for Fixed Asset & Lease.
  • Perform configuration management and implement system fixes, updates, and enhancements by working closely with IT and the Finance Community.
  • Manage and support application close processes.
  • Facilitate business process improvement through the use of technology.
  • Provide help desk support and training to Fixed Asset, Lease and Tax user communities.
  • Maintain required documentation to support Sarbanes Oxley controls and audit requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, general business administration or computer science.
  • Minimum 0-2 years' experience in accounting, financial reporting, financial systems, or related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of Fixed Asset accounting including FAS 143 and FERC898.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Project Costing.
  • Commitment to highest standards of quality and integrity.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of internal controls including SOX controls.
  • Solid analytical capabilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team working capabilities.
  • Experience with PowerPlan Fixed Assets modules - version 10.4.3 or newer, and/or PowerPlan Lease modules - version 2017.4 or newer, and/or PeopleSoft Project Costing or similar, and/or Kyriba Treasury system or similar, and/or Trintech Cadency (T-Recs) cash matching and reconciliation system or similar.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams).

Nice-to-haves

  • CPA or other financial certification.
  • Public Accounting experience.
  • Utility industry experience.
  • Business analysis experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with Treasury, Cash, or Fixed Asset tools.
  • Financial Systems support experience.
