About the position

The Associate Account Executive, Government at T-Mobile is a sales role focused on building relationships with regional and local government entities. This position is designed for ambitious sales professionals who are goal-oriented and persistent, aiming to sell T-Mobile's wireless solutions to underserved markets. The role involves prospecting new government customers, developing community relations, and maintaining a referral network to drive sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Interact directly with internal partners within Government and throughout the enterprise to build a successful network of internal advocates.
  • Document sales activities using our CRM platform to prioritize territory.
  • Develop profitable new business account relationships and grow profitability from existing accounts.
  • Sell products and services to highly sensitive and significant accounts, exercising judgment and decision-making authority.
  • Prospect and sell T-Mobile wireless services to new government customers, including cities, libraries, police departments, and government-funded nonprofits.
  • Develop community relations in areas where T-Mobile has never had a government presence.
  • Implement and maintain an effective referral network and call program to promote sales.
  • Support team initiatives and create an inclusive environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • 3 - 5 years direct sales experience, selling a technical product or service (Preferred)
  • Experience in prospecting, setting appointments, and growing market share.
  • Proven experience in handling large and sophisticated accounts and working directly with clients at the senior management level.
  • Experience selling prepaid products within the public sector is a plus.
