About the position

The Associate Account Manager at Taylor Corporation is responsible for managing client accounts, ensuring effective communication between clients and internal teams, and facilitating various processes related to inventory, pricing, and reporting. This hybrid role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to build relationships with clients while identifying opportunities for account growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the inventory process including obtaining quotes, ordering stock, and monitoring stock levels.
  • Communicate and implement customer-requested project changes, including pricing adjustments.
  • Load and update pricing as needed after the client is sold and conduct mid-year and annual reviews.
  • Provide price quotes as requested from clients after the account is sold.
  • Communicate daily with the plant, client, and sales regarding project-specific information.
  • Design and present client-specific reports based on contractual turn-time.
  • Understand the client's business to identify opportunities for account growth and facilitate daily requirements.
  • Communicate client's invoicing requirements to ensure desired output.
  • Review SBU products and performance to facilitate Customer Service goals and objectives.
  • Manage input into appropriate systems for account management.
  • Interact with clients via conference calls, meetings, and face-to-face presentations.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues effectively.
  • Use tools to identify areas of opportunity and improve processes for efficiency and profitability.
  • Implement new accounts and changes into the system.
  • Ensure production has the necessary resources, data, and specifications.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Three or more years of experience in related customer service positions.
  • Successful account management experience in a service-related business.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with conflict resolution and problem solving.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to interface with all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to grasp technical solutions and understand system linkages such as order entry and billing.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to manage in a changing environment.
  • Ability to deliver feedback and drive accountability.
  • Ability to influence in a team environment.
