The Associate Account Manager at Republic Services, Inc. plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing customers in the commercial and industrial waste services sector. This position is focused on a designated territory and involves proactive outreach to ensure customer retention and satisfaction. The Associate Account Manager is responsible for making outbound calls and handling inbound inquiries to retain business from smaller, less complex commercial and industrial clients. The goal is to deepen the penetration of Republic Services' offerings within the existing customer base by effectively selling the full suite of products available. In this role, the Associate Account Manager will develop a comprehensive understanding of the company's services, pricing structures, and additional offerings. This knowledge is essential for performing contractual re-signs with existing customers, thereby extending relationships and enhancing profitability. The position requires responding to cancellation requests in accordance with established policies and proactively communicating with customers to support pricing initiatives. Daily utilization of Salesforce is expected to document all activities, including calls, meetings, and proposals, ensuring accurate tracking of customer interactions. The Associate Account Manager will also be responsible for capturing customer emails, minimizing rate restrictions, and managing customer credits. Regular meetings with the Sales Manager will be held to review customer retention efforts, relationship activities, and progress towards goals. This position may also involve other job-related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team and the company’s objectives.
