About the position

As a Sales Associate Account Manager at Arista, you will be an integral part of the Sales team, acting as the face of Arista to our customers. Your primary role will be to champion the needs of our customers, aligning Arista's technical resources to help them achieve their business outcomes. You will collaborate closely with some of the most skilled Customer Engineers in the industry, as well as our Professional Services and Executive teams, to ensure that our customers receive the best possible support and solutions. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to pursue a career in sales, particularly in the technology sector, and who thrive in a collaborative team environment. In this role, you will be responsible for various internal sales support functions, including new sales pipeline development, lead generation, and field marketing activities. You will work alongside the Sales Leadership team and Senior Account Managers to support Field Account Managers in the Boston metro area. Your efforts will focus on generating new opportunities for Arista's Software-Driven Data Center and Campus switching platforms, as well as our Cloud-based Wireless WIFI solutions, DANZ Fabric Monitoring, and Zero Trust security products. You will also assist in planning and coordinating quarterly field marketing events, tracking attendance metrics, and providing sales operations support, including sales quote assistance and order submissions. This position typically reports to a Regional Sales Director or Regional VP of Sales, and you will have the opportunity to shadow Senior Account Managers to facilitate your career progression towards a Field Territory Account Manager position. Keeping up-to-date with technology partner solutions, competing solutions, and competitor strategies will be essential to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct lead generation calls with key customer influencers to present the Arista value proposition and generate new meetings for Field Account Managers.
  • Generate new opportunities for Arista's Software-Driven Data Center and Campus switching platforms, as well as Cloud-based Wireless WIFI solutions, DANZ Fabric Monitoring, and Zero Trust security products.
  • Drive new attendees to marketing events and assist with the planning and coordination of quarterly field marketing events, tracking attendance metrics.
  • Provide sales operations support for Field Account Managers, including sales quote assistance, order submissions, and assistance with billing issues.
  • Attend sales training and shadow Senior Account Managers to progress towards a Field Territory Account Manager position.
  • Stay updated with technology partner solutions, competing solutions, and competitor strategies.

Requirements

  • BS/BA/BBA degree or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of technology sales experience.
  • Previous experience in roles or internships in Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations, or as a Sales Associate.
  • Excellent people skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Passion for technology and strong technical acumen in areas such as Cloud, Networking, Virtualization, Network Security, Compute, SaaS/IaaS, Wireless (Wifi), and Network Monitoring.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
