About The Position

As an Associate Account Manager at Red Hat, you will be responsible for positioning and cross-selling Red Hat's solutions and services while expanding our accounts with key Department of Defense (DoD) customers. This role requires you to work closely with Product Engineering, Professional Services, and Product Support teams to ensure a premium customer experience with Red Hat's offerings. You will leverage your customer-facing sales skills and deep technical knowledge of enterprise software, including operating systems, virtualization, middleware deployments, and cloud computing, to develop new accounts and expand existing ones within established agencies or geographic territories. Given the nature of the role, you may be required to obtain a security clearance, and successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business. In this position, you will engage with customers to produce solutions that exceed their business expectations, drawing on your extensive background in consultative customer engagement, either as a major provider of enterprise software or within the sales division of an enterprise software reseller. You will also need to have a broad understanding of the government acquisition process and maintain established relationships within the accounts you cover. Your role will involve presenting to C-level executives at large companies, requiring outstanding written and verbal communication skills. You will be expected to work seamlessly with global cross-functional teams to achieve success for customers, balancing both strategic and tactical skills effectively.
