About the position

The Associate Accountant at CF Industries plays a crucial role in the finance and accounting function by preparing account reconciliations, month-end journal entries, and conducting financial analyses. This position ensures adherence to internal controls and policies while preparing various accounting statements and management reports. The role involves collaboration on special projects and maintaining accurate financial records to support the company's mission of providing clean energy sustainably.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries and month-end analyses for management and external reporting.
• Maintain files of supporting workpapers for various account balances.
• Assist with special projects and year-end activities as required.
• Prepare written procedures outlining job responsibilities.
• Post monthly journal entries into the SAP system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist in completing fixed asset transactions and reporting.
• Participate in audits as required.
• Identify and report internal control deficiencies to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting.
• CPA candidate preferred.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Applications.
• Familiarity with SAP systems preferred.
