About the position

The Associate Accounting Analyst at the Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) is responsible for maintaining complex accounting records for the California Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank's funds. This role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements in compliance with legal standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), as well as resolving accounting and auditing issues related to state and federal funding. The position operates under the general direction of the Fiscal Unit Manager and requires a high level of independence and expertise in accounting practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complex and difficult accounting records for the California Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank's funds.
• Prepare and review financial statements in conformance with legal standards and GAAP.
• Resolve accounting and auditing issues related to state and federal funding.
• Perform professional accounting duties to establish and maintain records of highly complex funds for IBank.

Requirements

• Mid-level experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Ability to perform analytical and advisory duties.
• Experience in planning, organizing, and completing special projects or complex assignments.
