About the position

The Associate Accounting Professor at DeVry University is responsible for delivering high-quality education in accounting across various modalities. This role emphasizes fostering a dynamic learning environment that promotes intellectual curiosity and critical thinking among students. Faculty members are expected to engage in scholarly activities, mentor students, and contribute to the university's mission of preparing learners for successful careers in a rapidly changing technological landscape.

Responsibilities

• Deliver courses totaling 42 - 47 credit hours across various modalities.
• Engage in scholarly activity, including course development and assessment support.
• Advise and mentor students and Visiting Professors.
• Support group programs and initiatives within the university.
• Select a leadership pathway to support the Teaching and Learning organization.

Requirements

• Doctorate Degree in Accounting or a related field with 15 graduate hours in Accounting.
• Current CPA licensure preferred.
• Three to five years of relevant business or industry experience.
• Two to five years of previous teaching experience preferred.
• Ongoing demonstrated in-field scholarly activity.
