About the position

The Associate Accounts Receivable Specialist at CoStar Group is responsible for managing the full life cycle of accounts receivable in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment. This role involves resolving customer issues related to invoice payments through proactive communication, building relationships to enhance customer satisfaction, and managing a high volume of transactions. The position requires proficiency in understanding the accounts receivable process and the ability to identify and escalate payment issues effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve customer issues impacting payment of invoices through proactive, outbound communication with clients and the sales team.
  • Drive high customer satisfaction and retention levels through relationship building and professional communication.
  • Manage a high transaction volume portfolio in a competitive customer-centric environment.
  • Become proficient in understanding the company A/R life-cycle within a 2-month time frame.
  • Identify root causes and scenarios that require escalation of slow or non-pay situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit college or university, preferably in Finance or a related field.
  • Up to one year of related experience in customer service, outbound calling, and/or finance.
  • Ability to problem solve and think innovatively to find resolutions for customers.
  • Good listening skills and the ability to multitask to solve problems.
  • Ability to work within time deadlines by prioritizing workload and understanding priority business outcomes.
  • Experience and demonstrated proficiency with Excel, including data manipulation, filtering, and basic formulas.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Completed internship in Finance or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience working in outbound calling type services environment.
  • Evidence of strong academic performance in college.
