About the position

The Associate, Agile Scrum Master at Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting multiple technology projects and initiatives within the Wealth Management business. This position involves collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes, driving efficient planning and execution, and managing program delivery and support. The Scrum Master will lead enterprise-wide programs, balance technology and business needs, and ensure adherence to Agile methodologies while providing transparency to senior management regarding portfolio issues and risks.

Responsibilities

  • Support multiple projects and initiatives under the technology delivery management team.
  • Work closely with critical stakeholders to steer technology project outcomes.
  • Drive efficient planning and execution of technology projects.
  • Manage program delivery, execution, and support for Firm priority programs and business reporting applications.
  • Extract, explore, mine, and experiment with data to address business problems and document data flow.
  • Lead enterprise-wide programs and projects, balancing technology and business needs.
  • Manage core functions including requirements elaboration, systems, and process flow analysis.
  • Ensure critical milestones and deliverables are met within time and scope constraints.
  • Collaborate across the organization to provide business analysis and process leadership within an Agile SDLC framework.
  • Develop and revise processes and guidelines for application development standards.
  • Build program and project status reporting aligned with enterprise project portfolios.
  • Provide transparency to senior management regarding portfolio issues and risks.
  • Conduct project or program audits to ensure standards and scopes are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience as a Project Manager, Scrum Master, or in a closely related occupation.
  • Experience managing Agile projects, including agile boards, backlogs, roadmaps, and reports.
  • Proficiency with Atlassian tools such as Jira, JQL, and Confluence.
  • Experience with production deployment processes and change management.
  • Skills in scheduling and record-keeping of tasks and product development.
  • Experience in product backlog management and requirement gathering with stakeholders.
  • Ability to perform story grooming and estimating work from the product backlog.
  • Experience in risk mitigation and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with project life cycle/SDLC stages including analysis, design, development, implementation, support, and enhancement.
  • Experience in project activities including budgeting, resource management, and process management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Experience in release management and monitoring code freezes for production support.
  • Experience in end-to-end acceptance testing of products.
