About the position

The Associate Analyst/Analyst, Operations Planning at Cheniere Energy is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and administration of programs that enhance the operational efficiency of the company's assets. This role involves tracking and reporting on various operational and financial performance metrics, contributing to strategic planning, and ensuring organizational alignment within the operations team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of the annual Operations OPEX budget and support assumption development, forecasting, and explanation of variances by department.
  • Provide support in the delivery of site reports including monthly site governance reports, quarterly board updates, and other periodic site reports with associated performance metrics.
  • Participate in the development of annual site O&M benchmarking analysis to drive continuous improvement of site performance.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize analytical and reporting efforts and collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement processes and tools to automate report creation and improve data analysis.
  • Conduct a wide variety of ad hoc analyses to support senior management decision making.
  • Provide support to business deliverables outside of the Operations organization such as Accounting, Treasury, Finance, Business Planning, and Supply Chain as requested.
  • Assist with the tracking and alignment of relevant operations strategic plans, goals, and objectives.
  • Support coordination and reporting for site performance assurance and risk management programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or other appropriate business function.
  • 0-2 years of relevant business or industry experience for Associate Analyst; 3+ years for Analyst.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • General understanding of operations within LNG, refining, petrochemical or similar industry.
  • Working knowledge of financial analyses, budget management, business planning, and process improvement.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to manipulate, explore, and interpret data from various sources.
  • Strong attention to detail with a proven record of delivering accuracy with final work products.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • LNG experience is a plus.
