About the position

The Assoc. Analyst, Credit & Collections plays a crucial role in managing AR and Collection functions, including invoicing, accounts receivables, cash posting, credit holds/releases, deduction resolution, and proof of delivery documentation. It involves following up on overdue invoices, negotiating payment terms, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve billing issues, ensuring the company's cash flow and financial stability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide statements, invoices, proof of delivery and other documentation as required by customer to ensure timely and in full payments
  • Optimizes collection efforts while ensuring relationships remain strong
  • Initiate and/or participate in collection calls on delinquent accounts
  • Negotiate payment terms, including payment plans, and resolve overdue accounts
  • Monitor customers account balances and collection status
  • Make decisions related to and escalate credit holds or releases
  • Process rebates write offs & adjustments
  • Support cash application process where required
  • Conduct credit checks on new customers using Credit2B website
  • Connect with sales, customer service and other team members to resolve customer issues
  • Report on collection status, trends, and payment behaviors to management
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal guidelines related to collections and debt recovery
  • External & Internal audit requests when required
  • Maintain accurate records of collections activities and payment history
  • Special projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related major, or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years experience in AR/Credit Collection
  • Experience working directly with customers or logistics a plus
