About the position

The Associate Analyst position is part of the Finance and Accounting Rotation Mentorship (FARM) Program at The Wonderful Company, designed for recent graduates or soon-to-be graduates. This integrative 18-24 month program allows participants to work across various accounting and finance teams within the organization, gaining valuable experience and skills that prepare them for future Analyst-level opportunities. The role involves performing month-end close activities, supporting financial statement preparation, and engaging in special projects, all while collaborating with high-level executives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end close activities including preparing and posting journal entries.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and analyze variances.
  • Support completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and review Key Performance Indicators.
  • Assist with compilation and analysis of consolidated budgets and long-range forecasts.
  • Prepare financial and business-related analysis and research in areas such as financial and expense performance, working capital, and investments.
  • Perform special projects and ad hoc requests such as supporting the year-end audit, internal financial reporting, compliance initiatives, and tax filings.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and best practices within business units to drive efficiency.
  • Prepare and present management reports to high-level executives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Coursework or applicable experience in Accounting and Finance.
  • Desire to become licensed as a CPA (preferred for accounting track).
  • Ability to start full-time work in February 2025 or July 2025 (depending on graduation date).
  • Microsoft Excel experience preferred.
